We are the Cercle of Luxembourgish Students in Maastricht (LSMaas).
LSMaas is an association that was only founded in the summer of 2022, after the Cercle of Students in the Netherlands was split. We are here to support and inform students as best as we can in their new life in Maastricht.
Throughout the year, we regularly organize events such as: boat parties, bowling, evenings on the Christmas market, Pub Quizzes, Pub Crawls, board game nights… and not to forget our weekly Stammdësch (student get-together) every Wednesday at Peter’s Irish Pub to break the week and enjoy a “gezellig” evening among fellow students.
LSMaas operates also in Luxembourg: we battle against the other Cercles during the Tournoi de Noël, turn into bartenders on the De Studentebal, or simply meet up to close the academic year and plan the upcoming one.
As we can tell from our experiences, living in Maastricht means living among internationals from all over the world. It is a quite unique and definetly amazing experience, however it is also nice to spend one night a week with people from a similar background than yours. We are always happy to see new faces, as well as recognizing familiar ones: LSMaas is like a little family where everyone has a seat on the table.
